Donations
The Northwest Alliance Community Foundation has been offered a matching grant opportunity to fight hunger in Burnett and northern Polk Counties. Thanks to the matching grant, every dollar raised will be matched up to $4,200. Why? Because 12.8% of Burnett County residents are food “insecure” or 1,970 people. In all of Polk County, 10.8% experience hunger or 4,730 people. All funds raised will be divided evenly among the area food shelves: Ruby’s Panty Food Shelf and Greenhouse, Siren; Connections, Webster; Grantsburg Area Food Shelf, Grantsburg; Family Pathways, Frederic.
